Pastor Kosta Naum II

Pastor Kosta Naum II

I am married to Vanell Naum and together we have two wonderful kids. I was the youth leader for FOSLIC for 14 years before becoming the Senior Pastor of FOSLIC on November 28, 2010. Although I had my struggles to accept the pastoral roll at FOSLIC, God intervened and told me through prayer and by other people (most I didn’t even know) that I will be the pastor of FOSLIC. From that moment on God has been in total control. I’m truly blessed to be a part of God’s plan and look forward to what He has in stored.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Vanell “Kawai” Naum - Women's Pastor/ Hula Ministry

Vanell Naum

In a world of loud-&-proud, a rare jewel is the unspoken, unseen servant of God. And that’s Pastor Kawai Naum, our “Invisible SuperSHEro”! (‘Cuz “Proverbs 31 Woman” was taken!) She quietly leads alongside her husband, Sr. Pastor Kosta Naum, who inspires her daily as a living Superman of Scripture. “For real!” she smiles. Kawai was born into the church as a pastor’s keiki, now raising two beautiful keiki of her own: Ezekiel (19) & Esther (14). So serving as a family, a lifetime of over 40 years, is her favorite adventure.

“UNLEASHED” Women’s Ministry was birthed of a vision to bless women as they’re the biggest servants in God’s house. “We wanted to bless them physically with a free meal and also spiritually with Worship & Word.”

During the week you can catch Kawai working with her hubby to manage their business, KN Lawn Service, Inc. That’s between driving Esther to Kamehameha Schools, attending basketball games, teaching discipleship classes, hitting the gym, and…well the ‘Proverbs 31 To Do List’ does go on! Yet that’s why she loves serving the women who share the same crazy-busy schedule.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-5)

Laura-Ashley Eli - Worship leader

Laura-Ashley Eli

Ever since she was a little girl she has had a passion for music, a passion to play and a passion to sing. In 2014, God took that passion and gave it purpose. As God's word never returns to Him void, she was selected to be Worship Leader causing her to step out of her comfort zone and walk out in faith wherever He lead her. From that point on, it has been a hectic journey with twists and turns but God has always remained victorious in her life. She is an empty vessel willing to be used and filled everyday with His power and presence. Her prayer is that each and everyone one of you will welcome the overwhelming down pour of the Holy Spirit day after day, in Jesus name.

Samlynn Moore - Children Ministry Leader

Samlynn Moore

I've been with FOSLIC since I was 14 years old, sat in Sunday School and Wednesday Night Bible Studies. Now 22 years later, I'm blessed to be the Children's Ministry Leader, teaching the very children of those I sat with in Sunday School those many years ago. My heart is toward empowering children to build their faith, talents, and love for our Lord Jesus Christ and having an awesome and memorable time while doing so. I’m also on the Praise and Worship Team.

Deut 6:6-7 These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise.

Jackie Pauole - Welcome and Prayer Walk Ministry Coordinator

Jackie Pauole

I am a mother of 4 and a blessed grandmother of 12. I've been with FOSLIC, over 20 years. My Joy is Serving the Lord and holding on to His Promises.
I am the Prayer Walk Coordinator, as we set forth through the leading of the Holy Spirit, being fully equipped with God's Armor. We are empowered to rule here on earth  claiming every step, In The Name Of Jesus.
I am also serving on the Praise and Worship Team/Nursery, Children Sunday School.

Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Kaili Keo

Aloha, I am happily married with three children. I am a labor and delivery nurse at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children. I am the wellness coordinator for FOSLIC and I organize hikes and walks for our members. Health and wellness is important so we are spiritually and physically strong to serve the Lord.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is Christ Jesus our Lord.
